Angel Trazo is a PhD student in Cultural Studies at UC Davis. Her dissertation explores the origins and implications of Asian Baby Girl (ABG) subculture – as both a youth culture and viral “ABG aesthetic” on social media – on Asian American young adults.
Angel is currently a 2024-25 UC Davis Professors for the Future Fellow. In 2024, Angel received the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) for Indonesian. She formerly worked as the Communications Lead at the Feminist Research Institute (UC Davis) and Communications Student Manager at the Bulosan Center for Filipino Studies (UC Davis) (now the Amado Khaya Foundation).
